So tonight was the season finale. :-( Probably for the best, considering this annoying school thing going on that insists on interrupting my fandom. Highlights...
"Watch your fucking language!" HAHAHAH Okay, that's two episodes in a row where a line from Sookie made me laugh out loud. Russel, however, was a freaky fuck with his burnt crispiness. Yet even in his freakishness and masochistic tendencies, I was still a bit put off how much pleasure Sookie took out of grinding the remains of Talbot...
For the record Calvin is the complete opposite in the books than he was in this show. He is always described as being kind and fair and just generally a good Werepanther. He even tries to get Sookie to marry him (in a polite way) even though he is almost double her senior. And she recongizes he could be a great husband but declines because she's not attached to him. So, to see him being killed so early in the series and to be such a dick was sad.
Lafayette got two frowny faces in my notes. haha I just felt super bad for him with all this hallucination and such, but I'm glad to see Jesus is being so good to him.
Andy looking at the vampire blood... opening the bottle... Me yelling at the screen: "DON'T DO IT, ANDY!" hahaha
For a hot sec I was going to be disappointed that Tara cut her hair, but it looks super cute and I approve of short hair cuts (as I have one of my own), so I'm okay. :) ...Do you think Tara decided to skip town to start anew?
That extra step Bill took with Eric to bury him alive in cement was nuts. Nothing even remotely close to that happened in the books.
Any one else notice the doll-like-thingy in Hoyt and Jessica's new house? Uh, creepy...
Sam. :( Such a downward spirl you're on. It makes me super disappointed... and shooting your own brother even if he did steal your money... wow. I just hope he shot his leg or something.
The ending scene with Sookie going out to her grandmother's grave made me teary-eyed... And I'm sure I would have been left with a better sense of "I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON!!" if I hadn't read the books and knew where Sookie was taken. The place she goes to, she never goes to in the books, which is interesting that she does in the TV show...
In other news:
You do realize, Doctor, that I find white dress shirts on men to be /extremely/ attractive, right?
