Fanvid question

I asked on Tumblr but I'll probably get more responses here... What program should I use/do you use to make fanvideos? There's a couple ideas that refuse to leave me.

If you want to try Adobe Premiere, I think you can get a 30-day trial from the Adobe website. I think you can also get a discount if you buy it if you have a .edu email address. I dunno if it's any good, though, because I know nothing about vidding.

Sony Vegas is amazing, but it's hella expensive if you buy/don't torrent it. Windows Movie Maker is shit, but it gets the job done.

You can still download the non-wtf-were-they-thinking one. The one I use is WMM 2.6.

Windows MovieMaker 2.6 which is like the most basic program you can use, but does have the advantage of being ridic easy to use.
