Cutting Spoilers for YOUR Enjoyment

I'm really starting to get ticked off by people's lack of consideration of those who want to avoid spoilers.

Yesterday on Tumblr (now, it's Tumblr, but STILL) I saw a small image of those alleged Monster cards that have been banned from several websites. And I unintentionally caught a glimpse of something I DID NOT want to see.

After that I said, "Okay, fine, I'll avoid places that don't know how to do cuts or people are dumb enough not to use cuts *coughTumblrcough*

So Facebook should have been safe, right? Real life nonsense, right? WRONG.

I'm a "fan" of Amy and the Doctor and they posted a news article from the DAILY FUCKING MAIL that had one of the most spoilery images that was released by the BBC last night at midnight.

That being said, I will cut EVERYTHING that may be REMOTELY spoilery for your pleasure. With big warnings.

I saw it because someone sent it to me, a friend, with the best intentions; I think. She linked it and was like "dude. series 6 pics!" and I figured "oh. i have seen them all!"

so much inner rage. and i should not have clicked it!
since i dont want to spoil and i think we saw the same thing; i'll just say astronaut. there.

note three; ONCE IT PREMIERS IN THE UK. which will be...i want to say 1pm eastern standard time ?
I will not be on tumblr/during/nearto/or on that hour. or after. i am staying off tumblr until series 6 premiers over here...then i can spazz out.

1) NOW IT'S 3 AND A HALF HOURS!!!!!!!!! OMGOMGOMOGMOMG

2) ISN'T IT THE WORST???? My sister called me while I was at work and there was a tiny bit of fear that she had read some spoiler online, thought of me, and just wanted to tell me to make conversation. Like an, "Oh hey, I heard for that Doctor Who you watch, Doctor Who gets drunk with River Sings and has sexy times with her. That's what they do, right?" And I'd be like, "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" But she didn't have any such news. :)

UM. I think I may have seen a different image? Though maybe it wasn't... but I don't want to say to make any links for some fortunate soul who hasn't seen them.

3) I am staying the HELL away from Tumblr. I'm even hesitant to be here on LJ. For, like, reading something potentially spoliery in a tag or something. hahaha I'm a little bit ridiculous. Maybe I'll watch A Christmas Carol or something to kill time.

2) it is the worst. absolutely. xD I actually stopped following my friend on Tumblr, because she just posted an image / rebloged one of River with her diary (i knew it was series 6 river because i saw the jean jacket) . and i'm like "I DO NOT FUCKING TRUST YOU ANYMORE!" *un-follows* Even though it wasn't even that spoily of an image--since we know River always has her diary. But i don't care.
NO CHANCES!

3) Ugh. most of the people I am following though, are being cool and posting stuff on Sunday. But it's so hard because I've gotten into the habit of going onto tumblr...and it's like MUST RESIST.
ughhh. xDD
I have been writing some fanfiction to kill time. XD It works for me.

Thankee for the consideration! I've told my various friends that I will stop talking to them for a week if they spoil for me; last year, a guy spoiled all of the mess with Rory for me at my job, so I'm all paranoid about it now.

I'm assuming you're American like me so thankfully this year we don't have such a long period of time between the episodes for an accidental slip up to happen. Only eight hours between showing in the UK and the US this year! Yippee!

Oh, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I mean, I haven't seen the pictures yet (I am avoiding the internet like the plague for the most part) but I found MAJOR PLOT spoilers on a YouTube video comment for a non-spoiler-y trailer. I was SO incredibly pissed; I almost started crying. I replied to the guy and TOLD HIM to label things as spoilers and his response was "if you don't want spoilers, stay off the PC." Asshole.

People are assholes.

Well, I watched The Impossible Astronaut (twice, actually) and it turns out that spoiler was from like the first ten minutes. I was SO happy when I realized that.

But I was SO pissed at the time.
