And then a thought hit me that maybe some Classic fans can sort for me: The Time War, when the Doctor came and ended it all, etc, etc. Do we know when that took place? Or is it some Time Lordy nonsense where it couldn't take place during a certain time since... I dunno, they're Time Lords or whatevs.

I think we're meant to think of the War has having happened all the time and all around so there's no real absolute point for when it ended? That's what it's like in my head anyway.

(All the info about the Time War's in the New Series, it was never a part of Classic Who.)

End of Time made it clear that the Time War ended when the Doctor was given "the moment" and used it to trap both Gallifrey and Skaro in that moment and took them both out of the time line and out of existence, thus ending the war as the two sides stopped existing.

I am forever miffed that RTD killed off the Time Lords. It makes sense dramatically (and gives the Doctor back his ~Mystery) but awkward, useless Time Lords are my faaaaavorite.

End of Time dealt the most with the events around the Time War and specifically the literal "moment" it ended.

Though I totally do not blame you for not wanting to rewatch it. ;)

I watched the end of S4 and all the specials very close together so that may have slipped on by. Thanks for clearing that up, bb. :)
