Just in time for the holidays!!

First thought... is that a new theme? It sounds a bit, I dunno... jazzed up? Also: Loving Ten back in his tuxedo. See? It fits you! ...How come this Doctor gets more wardrobe changes than the others? And it seems the penguin suit gives him courage-- hitting on the cute waitress, oh yeah! And yet, I can't help but feel a bit bitter on behalf of Martha. I think I really grew attached to her. Yet I don't see a lot of fandom for that companion... wonder why...

Must say... thought for sure the Doctor was going to prevent those asteroids from hitting the ship. Though then we wouldn't have forty minutes of the show if it did, I suppose.

At first I loved the line where the Doctor asserts himself as being a Time Lord and giving the prick the reason why he's in charge and yadda yadda... but after some thought, that was a bit pompous... though on the other hand... he is right. But did he have to go and put it that way? But if he didn't, would the prick have taken him seriously?

FINALLY! I hear the Doctor saying "Allonsy!" ...is that how you spell it? If he's said it before this time, I've totally missed it.

Btw, I really liked the Fancy Dress couple. I thought they were adorable and really got the short end of the stick in this episode. First with Prick making all those elementary fat-jokes at them, then the husband falling to his death and then the wife sacrificing herself partly for the safety of the others, partly because she's so overwhelmed with grief, she couldn't see a future without her husband... =/ Kate was not happy.

Cute Quote!:
Astrid: You may be a Time King from Galleby but you still need to eat."
Doctor: Okay.
Astrid: You look pretty good for 903.
Doctor: You should see me in the morning.
Astrid: [dead pan] Okay.

The little red cyborg who gave his life to save them... his death scene was a little dramatic. And everything from here on out got a little dramatic. Like after Astrid sacrificed herself to save the Titanic and its passengers and the one boss-cyborg-dude was pushed into the flaming engines, the angel machines suddenly had no commander. And so the Doctor became their commander. AND THEY FUCKING PICKED HIM UP AND FLEW HIM INTO THE BRIDGE. Wow, RTD. Wow. That was fucking cheesy. Thankfully part of this campiness was made up with the Doctor saying, "Allonsy, Alonso!"

And Astrid is for-sure dead. A  lot of deaths in this episode, yet Prick lives. What gives? And then the Doctor turning down Mr. Copper as a travel buddy when they land on Earth. The Doctor says to him, "I travel alone." Yeah, sure, unless you're a pretty young woman. A little sexist AND ageist, wouldn't you say, Doctor?

Mixed feelings over the episode but, eh, guess you can't win 'em all. At least Donna's coming back next season. :) And I finally get to see Ten II. : )

I may (and I know this might be blasphemous) like Martha more than I liked Rose.

Martha needs a bigger fandom, yes! She was awesome!
