Brief History

I will admit, this past season is the first season I've seen of Doctor Who. Heck, I never seen a David Tennant episode before watching season 5. However, I am a researcher. I am currently going into graduate school for counseling psychology and have written many a research paper. I'm an expert on it. Career assessments have told me I should be a librarian instead. But that's another story. So naturally I have researched Doctor Who, tardis.wikia.com being my main source of information... and my father, who has seen every doctor since the show began.
I am also new to Live Journal. I believe, after some reflection, that I may have had one when I was in middle school or early high school, but I can't remember too well at this point. I know I didn't keep it long if I did. Being new to Doctor Who and Live Journal has made me quite ignorant in many aspects. When first scouring for fanfictions on LJ, I kept running across acronyms I didn't know, some of which I still don't know what they mean! My fanfictions also may have some misinformation, of which I try my best to avoid... sometimes avoiding some plot aspects because I am not quite sure how it would play out in the real Whoniverse.
I studied abroad in England for a semester (or should I say "term"?) and still keep in contact with a few friends I made over there. So as far as an American writing about a British show goes, I think I should be okay in that department. :) If I slip up, please let me know so I can correct it.
Many of my fanfictions will be marketed for in between episodes, even if not right-out said. I generally avoid writing plots that would mess up the dynamic of the program or anything that would royally screw with the plot... though one FF (Midnight Rendezvous) is nudging at me to mess with the whole delicate balance... still not sure what I want to do with that one.
And on that note, I ask you accept me with open arms! Teach me your ways!
