Today I got in the mail the Season 5 DVD!! I have to be at my internship in less than an hour so I'll be brief while pizza is heating up...
The first "Meanwhile in the TARDIS" clip: TOTALLY sexy tiems in Doctor Who language. Like, in musicals, any time the actors/actresses sing, it's their way of saying, "We're having sexy tiems right nao". Or Fred Astaire and he dances with Ginger Rogers. SAME DEALIO. The flirting was almost unbearable... unbearably cute, that is!! Amy really shinned in there.
The second one had me laughing just as much. GUH, I love these two! And "Space Gandalf" and then the Doctor mimicking the light saber- CRACKING THE EFF UP. And then him trying to play off how many lady companions have come with him onto the TARDIS. AND AMY CALLING HIM OUT WITH THE MIXED SIGNALS.
I'm sorry, there's an unnecessary amount of capital letters in this blog post... I'll be watching the other special clips including the cut Confidentials at a later time... and of course, rewatching all the episodes again. :p
In other news, I watched a couple of Tennant episodes with a buddy of mine Sunday Night. My favorite out of the ones we watched was the one where Ten meets Madame de Pompadour. It was very.... not "reminiscent" because it happened later, but it reminded me of how Amy met the Doctor a bit. Not to that extreme, but still. I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to do another Doctor Day with my buddy as I think I may have scared him away with my enthusiasm, but we'll see. :)

Date: 2010-11-09 11:35 pm (UTC)1. the "Been a few cowboys in here" line.
2. imaginary friend
3. the kisses
4. mistress/kiss-o-gram
5. Most importantly, the minds of both women are considered extremely important by alien entities. The Nestings (sp?) use Amy's mind to make the trap for the Doctor. (Well, and she helps reboot part of the universe.) And this is paralleled by the Clockwork fellows on the space ship.
6. I think Amy genuinely loves both Rory and the Doctor (though that's just a theory, and I'm not married to the idea), just as Madame de Pompadour loved both the Doctor and Louis.
There are other similarities. As I said...someday, I'll do a post on it. :P

Date: 2010-11-09 11:38 pm (UTC)The way she says, "Ooo, Gandalf!" when looking at the pictures of past companions (note: the TARDIS, as the Doctor pointed out, left out the tin dog, his longest-running companion. And also left out the handful of male companions. Which says some amusing things about the personality of the Tardis. lol)
