tasty_kateThe sixth episode of the series... gosh, I'm nearly half-way through Nine! *tear* The initial scene was precious. Doctor and Rose exit TARDIS, Doctor tells her some basic facts about where they landed, Rose goes in to get Adam and proceeds to tell him said facts as if it's something she knew of her on volition. Way to go, Rose. :D
Adam: *passes out*
Doctor: He's your boyfriend.
Rose: Not any more.
HAHAHA I'm okay with this. Adam started sending up red flags when he was going through some culture shock. I mean, who wouldn't in their right mind; which may be why the Doctor only takes the crazy ones with him...
The Doctor gives Adam some money and tells him, "Don't spend it all on sweets." And Kate is reminded of a certain Eleventy episode where this same sentiment is expressed ("Don't spend it all on sweets, unless you like sweets, I like sweets").
Gah, Face of Boe! You return again!
Also, why does the Editor (all white-haired guy, questionably albino) look like an actor from Kids in the Hall...? Or am I going crazy?
Um, was I the only one who JUMPED LIKE HELL when the Skeleton sprang backwards to Sukie? Speaking of Sukie, I think her and Cathica ROCK.
WHOA, hey there, buddy, why you going and getting your brain all changed and shit? That's quite... impulsive... don't you think?
Doctor comments on Adam being MIA, Cathica doesn't want to join, and just as the elevator doors close he says, "Just you and me" and takes her hand. <3 <3 <3 Is it okay if I ship Nine/Rose? I feel like I'd be cheating on Eleven/Amy... And just to encourage this whole questionable shippiness, Rose gets nice and cozy with the Doctor getting his sonic out of his jacket pocket. ...Kinky.
That whole scene with Adam trying to convince the Doctor to keep him on board was painful. My notes (yes, I write notes) say, "GOOD BYE, ADAM." Then I wrote down his line, "But I want to go with you," with my response being, "UH, BULL SHIT." Like hell he was going to go with him. Good riddance. Apparently he did not get the rules ("Do as I say, don't ask stupid questions, and don't wander off").
