tasty_kate | Thinking ahead & two recaps!

First off: Aliens of London. I think I saw the beginnings of the episode before because I remember the whole Rose thinking she was gone for twelve hours and finding out she was actually gone for twelve months. But after that bit, yeah, don't think I've seen it. Highlights:
Jackie: "Stitch this, mate!" AND WHAM. She slapped the Doctor. Wow. Wow. Then the Doctor later on: "I don't do families." Well, no kidding!!
Initially I was sympathetic to the acting PM for his gas... and then second-guessed it later when the three heavy-set people started giggling and farting. Little did I know...
HE GAVE HER A TARDIS KEY?! Why doesn't Amy get one? :(
The Doctor shushing the sonic? Adorable.
=( Poor ~~piggy~~ ~~alien~~ piggy.
Also, any native Brit care to tell me where Mickey's accent is from? Speaking of Mickey (I have a lot more to say on this guy, btw), is there any deeper reason why the Doctor keeps calling him "Ricky"? ...actually, you know what? Don't tell me. Not everything should be spoiled to me. :p
Mickey: "You got the sports channel?"
Doctor: "Yeah, I get football." HAHAHA
Then later,
Doctor: "Take me to your leader!" I lol'ed.
And at the end of the episode, the way it ended with everyone with the specialized intelligence on aliens was being shocked, I yelled at my computer screen, "Oh, eff that!!" in reference to me only watching one episode a week. And so I went searching for the next episode.

So, we come to World War Three.
Not as many notes for this one, however, I do feel like I'm liking Mickey more and more. I really didn't care for him in the first episode but I felt like he really shone in this one. Almost like a current-season Rory...? And maybe I wished that Rory would be more like Mickey and stay behind. mwhahahahahah Aw, I like Rory, don't get me wrong, it's just... well, I suppose you all know my OTP by now.
Mickey: "Oh great, we can write them a letter." lol'ed
And just as the aliens blew up from having vinegar and the sort being thrown on them, I noticed a tattoo on his upper bicep. Mmm... I MEAN. Hmm...
Loved seeing continuity with the Doctor grimacing when he drank alcohol. :p
And, finally, a shining moment for Rose in my reviews, "You're stuck with me, ha haaa." I loved her laugh there.
Yeah, these two weren't big Rose episodes, though seeing the introduction of Harriett Jones and having her rock my socks off and me grow more fond of Mickey probably makes up for that. :)

In other unrelated Doctor Who news, I'm starting to plan my Halloween costume. I'm going to be Amélie for Halloween:

If you haven't seen the movie, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's in French and has English subtitles, though I hope that doesn't dissuade any of you. So! I'm going to be her. My hair has been growing quite long for me these past few months... last time I cut it was May and it's almost touching my shoulders. Needless to say, I will have to chop it short soon. I think I'll do it in about two weeks before I visit the main squeeze in Italy.
Anywho, I started to play with make up and "the look" of Amélie and this is what I got:

Naturally the bangs have to come up higher and I'm gona have to do something about my freckles... maybe find a liquid concealer that's a shade lighter to try and match her pale complexion, too. I don't plan on dying my hair black (again) this year for my Halloween costume but I do intend on using the color hair spray for it. I also think I should go a little thicker with the eyebrow pencil to make my eyebrows darker and larger towards the outsides of them... any other suggestions?
...gosh, I'm gona dread the short bangs... I have such a large forehead. >_< Hair grows, Kate! Hair grows!
