I miss Doctor Who.

Exactly what's in the tin.

Also, I notice there's been more 11/River being written lately. Which is good, 'cause I've been hankering to read more 11/River.

Maybe I should watch more Classic!Who. I'd like to see the movie.

I honestly am not missing it that much right now which I count as a blessing. I've found another fandom (or three) to take over by obsessing nature. Mostly in the form of Tom Hiddleston...or Loki. BUT I WILL RETURN COME CHRISTMAS!!!

I have little distractions like Dexter and Sandman and such but... there's nothing like Doctor Who. D:

IS IT CHRISTMAS YET???

Watch the Ye Olden it is great! And also a bit crap sometimes but taht is part of the joy!

Eleven/River has sort of exploded, hasn't it?

Is Ye Olden a serial? Which Doctor is it?

Eleven/River has sort of exploded, hasn't it?

I'm kind of okay with it. :D:D How do you feel about it? It's your dream ship, now cannon and popular. haha

I'm actually kinda glad that it's not airing, because I'm not sure I could handle it with all this school work. LOL.

But you should watch Seven and Ace! I mean, I've only seen like two arcs, but I love them already. They're brilliant.

You have a good point about it no longer sucking up my Saturdays (and every day in between). Seriously. Saturday came around and the only thing I'd be doing is Doctor Whoing (yes, I made it into a verb). It was almost concerning. ...Almost.

My Dad says I'd like Ace-- was there a serial that you watched that you were particularly fond of? Also, how are you watching them? Netflix? iTunes? Seedy Back Alley Websites?

[identity profile] themuslimbarbie.livejournal.com 2011-10-15 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
It would consume my entire weekend. Friday would be spent ficcing. Saturday is Who day, obviously. And Sunday is spent still going "WHOWHOWHOWHO."

I only saw Dragonfire and Remembrance of the Daleks. The first was kinda boring, but the latter was AMAZING.

[identity profile] tasty-kate.livejournal.com 2011-10-15 11:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oooohhh... I think I know what I'll be doing on Monday. :D:D:D Where did you watch these?

[identity profile] themuslimbarbie.livejournal.com 2011-10-16 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
No problem. <3

I miss it too :( Now that there's so much Eleven/River, I don't even know where to start. I haven't really been reading a lot of fic lately.

I grew up on Classic!Who, so it is always dear to my heart. Tom Baker was my Doctor growing up, so he'll always be 'my Doctor.' :)

The movie is kind of hilariously bad and I kind of love it just for that reason. If anything, it's only a couple hours long, so no big deal to sit down and watch it :)

[identity profile] tasty-kate.livejournal.com 2011-10-13 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Reading fic is about the only thing I've been doing... HAHAHA And Tumblr. There are some nice graphics on there. :D

Yeah, I enjoy Tom Baker. I saw two of his serials (City of Death and Horror on Fang Rock) so I think I'd like to try a different Doctor.

My thinking exactly. And the hilarious bad?: Bring it on. :D

There's so little sci fi on these days. Basically none. That's the saddest part. I for one miss the old days of Star Trek reruns.
But I'm busy nonetheless, watching Community (did you see there Doctor Who parody? Inspector Space-Time? haha) House, How I Met Your Mother and Dexter. Dexter is awesome.
They'll keep me occupied for a few weeks till christmas!

And after that we'll even have MORE waiting to do...0.0

[identity profile] tasty-kate.livejournal.com 2011-10-13 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahhh, Star Trek reruns... I was always a TNG girl. <3 <3 Data

My main squeeze and I are in the middle of Dexter, season 3. If it weren't him watching it with me, I probably would have already plowed through it. But alas, Dan does not have the same stamina as me when it comes to new obsessions.

At least after the Christmas Special we have the alleged Easter Special to keep us stringing along.

And thanks for the article! It had me burst out laughing. :)

Is it bad that I'm going to miss Confidential more than the show itself?

[identity profile] tasty-kate.livejournal.com 2011-10-13 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude. I know what you mean. I can't relate 100% but GUH. THE CONFIDENTIAL. >:O

You could enjoy some audioplays from Big Finish.

[identity profile] tasty-kate.livejournal.com 2011-10-16 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Not too sure if I want to get into the audioplays; there's still so many of the episodes I haven't yet seen!
