In other nerdy news, my friend from England (Derby area) visited me last weekend and brought me some Doctor Who goodies. She got me the Doctor Who Adventure magazine with a build your own wind-up Dalek and three Monster Invasion trading cards... that's what they're called, right?
The True Blood episodes were AMAZING. (SPOILER ALERT)
I was positively thrown that Bill was king; that is NOT the case in the books. And the end with that cliffhanger??? LAJDFLKJDAF I CAN'T FLIPPING WAIT THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOOOOOME. Too bad the holiday got in the way of them airing a new episode this past weekend... which may be why they aired two episodes for the season premier.
When my friend was visiting I finished re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Holy bajeebus am I going to cry. There's an international movie theatre here in Mallorca where they play movies in English. I hope I can find some classmates to come with me. :D I've also decided for my substance abuse prevention course to use the incorporation of Firewhisky in the Harry Potter series in a paper that speaks about normalizing alcohol and drug use in popular culture. I heard of someone else wanting to talk about the use of vampire blood in True Blood.
