I came across an article who asks readers to give in their two cents about the new season. One commenter wrote:
"This is the first series since the relaunch where we've had the same Doctor-Companion pairing for more than one series, so they've been able to focus a lot more on story devlopments and less on 'it's bigger on the inside'. I can see why that may alienate new viewers but for long-term fans it's pure gold!" [x]
This is a thought I've had before. I've only started watching since last season so I should be in the category that feels uncertain about this season (lack of wonder and amazement and that fairy-tale feel), but I'm loving it in a different way. I'm a long-term relationship sort of gal and so to see these established relationships and being domestic and having their inside jokes and all that other stuff that only time can give you between people, I eat that shit up. Plus all of Moffat's craziness has been giving me anxiety attacks in the best way possible.
So, any New!Who and Classic!Who fans have any thoughts to this?
Caution: The article linked has spoilers for this season up to The Almost People (though maybe say more on A Good Man Goes To War but honestly I didn't really read it).
