Closing Time
SO. MANY. FEEEEELINGS. Spoilers under the cut.
This episode made me giggle so much. I can't even describe how much I loved it. It really was like The Lodger Part 2, but not. Their dynamic, it's just spot on.
Things I wibbled over:
1) The Doctor seeing AMY AND RORY and not pointing himself out to them. D: That was so heart-wrenching. And Amy has a career now!! EEE!!!
2) The Doctor holding the baby and KISSING ITS HEAD AND MAKING THE ROOM LIKE SPACE AND GIVING WORDS OF COMFORT AND OMGOMGOMG I don't have a maternal bone in my body but hooo, my goodness did that make my ovaries quiver.
3) Craig giving the Doctor the stetson and the Doctor wearing it to Utah. <3 <3 Such bromance.
4) Craig saving the day yet again with the power of love. <3 <3 <3 <3
Also, the ending wasn't a gigantic surprise but it did answer the question of who was in the astronaut suit. Really, it could have only been so many people. I wonder if this answers why River couldn't kill her past self when she shot at her astronauty self-- maybe that's a tiem!rule? You can't kill yourself? Also, Alex Kingston looked like hnnnngggggg. That woman. I can't get over how gorgeous she is.
Next week's episode is going to be so good. I hope it ends happy and not with a OMGWTFBBQ cliff hanger. 'Cause then we'll have a year until we see Doctor Who again (save from the Christmas special).
Also, can we have Ponds back in the episode? That'd be great.
