To celebrate the 47th birthday of Doctor Who, I watched another episode of Ten. I know, nothing special but at least it was something. :)

I loved this episode. It had me laughing for at least the first thirty minutes. First off, score big points for Moaning Myrtle (Ursula)! Loved her! hahaha I loved the short clips, like the one of Elton John, then when Elton was dancing to... what was it? Electric Symphony? Something like that. Even Victor Kennedy had me laughing here and there. What a nerd... yes, I know it's a pot calling the kettle black sort of situation.

The progression of the group was brilliant. And me, eyeball deep in the counseling field at the moment am thinking about group dynamics and the like. haha

I believe this has also been the third or so time that Torchwood has been referenced in these episodes. When do we get a full-on explanation of Torchwood?

Yay, Beatles clip!

The whole Jackie and Elton scene had me cracking the eff up. She's hilarious. I love her. hahaha "It's like that flat was jinxed." Aw, so clueless.

Then the whole thing with, "Absorbatron? Asorbaloth?" Then later, the... Absorbawhatever says his home  planet was Clom. Doctor: "Clom." Absorba: "Clom, ya." I was beginning to think this was a comedy relief episode up until the end with the whole him losing his social network, finding out about his Mom... What a bummer of an ending.

NEXT PLSKTHNX.

Ah-ha! Thanks for correcting that for me. :)
What are some of the criticisms of this episode? I thought it really funny...

I think some people think it's just too silly, especially the Abzorbaloff, which was the result of a 'design-a-baddie' competition on a kids' TV programme. I reckon there's nothing wrong with a bit of silly, myself.

Reminds me of those Monty Python sketches where Graham Champman would walk onto the scene in a military uniform and say, "Right, stop that. This has gone way too silly." Which, you know, I loved.
