Boom Town
To be honest, I watched this episode about two days ago but after my posting frenzy over the weekend, I didn't want to flood people's friends page... and so I held off on this post. >_< So! Without further ado...
My first note was, "Kate is not happy that the Slitheen have come back. OLD." I really felt this way. We were done with this. ...whatever. haha
Can anyone explain to me why Doctor Who loves Cardiff so much? Story settings there, doing actual filming there... am I missing something about Cardiff?
Hokay, if someone could clear this up to me, I will either go "oh, okay" or squee until I burst, depending on the answer: Was the Doctor suggesting to Jack that if you buy him a drink, you can get snuggly with him...? Just, you know, wanted that cleared up... *shifty eyes* I LIKE JACK. What can I say, lookin' out for the man.
I loved the Team: TARDIS going on with The Doctor, Jack, Rose, and Mickey. :) Yay, team work!
Hearing Capt. Jack get all excited with his story telling- prec. I don't know what it is about him, I'm just really drawn to this character.
The Doctor shrugged off the coincidence of the phrase Bad Wolf following him and Rose around. Kind of reminded me of The Pandorica Opens episode where the Doctor starts seeing a bunch of links with the Romans (Amy loved learning about the hot Italians), Pandora's Box/Pandorica (Amy's favorite story), and etc... he, too, shrugged it off saying something to the effect of, "Never ignore a coincidence-- unless you're extremely busy." So seems like he almost learned from his mistakes. haha
I had no clue that the TARDIS needed to refuel. I just thought it went on forever.
By the way, this Slitheen woman was really starting to piss me off with her guilt tripping. I would seriously sigh and roll my eyes every time she opened her mouth.
I laughed out loud when Jack caught the Doctor spying on Rose with Mickey. *sings* Someone's got a cruuuush! Someone's got a cruuuush!
And Mickey at the end made me frown. I don't blame the buddy... This does, however, leave Rose open for perusal of romantic relationships with two fairly attractive men in a time and space machine.
I liked this epsidoe, even with the whole Slitheen bit. I'm looking forward to when they finally dive into this Bad Wolf business.
