I never understood why he took her to see her dad, either... seems like one of the basic things that should be avoided. :/
Loved TEC/TDD, though. Oh, Captain Jack. I'd love to see him meet Amy, they could have some sort of wit war. XD
And I think the hospital was the same one from the Slitheen eps... might be wrong, tho.
